CD177 Deficiency Defines a Stable Subtype of Human Neutrophil Granulocytes with Tumor Promoting Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human neutrophils exist as two epigenetically imprinted subtypes defined by stable CD177 expression or absence — a ratio that persists across time, circadian rhythms, and inflammation. CD177− neutrophils display a distinct molecular landscape enriched in arginase 1 and lipid metabolism markers, accumulate in head‐and‐neck tumors, and associate with ...

Autologous stem cell transplantation in Hodgkin's disease

open access: yesAnnals of Oncology, 2002
The majority of patients with Hodgkin’s disease (HD) are curable with first-line therapy; however, 10–20% of patients with advanced HD will not enter complete remission (CR) with conventional first-line therapy and a further 20–30% will relapse after having initially achieved CR [1–3].

Single‐Cell Profiling Identifies SLC2A5‐Mediated Fructose Metabolism as a Vulnerability in Primary CNS Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glucose deprivation in the primary CNS lymphoma (PCNSL) tumor microenvironment drives SLC2A5 (encoding GLUT5)‐dependent fructose metabolism in tumor cells, while hypoxia induces HIF‐mediated SLC2A5 expression in tumor‐supportive macrophages, revealing SLC2A5‐driven fructose utilization as a shared and targetable metabolic vulnerability across malignant

Deep Learning Network‐Tailored Microenvironment Matching of 4D Bioprinting Bioactive Scaffolds for Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A DLN dataset was built to analyze MABS composition versus in vitro/in vivo osteogenesis and angiogenesis. An MLP neural network, taking BG morphological parameters as input, extracts bioactive features from these datasets. A rabbit tibial defect model then validates 4D‐printed MABS for adaptability and bone regeneration in critical defects.

High-Dose Chemotherapy and Autologous or Allogeneic Transplantation in Aggressive B-Cell Lymphoma—Is There Still a Role?

open access: yesCells
Novel therapies such as CAR-T, BTK inhibitors and PD-1 inhibitors have changed the management of aggressive B-cell lymphomas. Nonetheless, these novel therapies have their own risk of late toxicities including second malignancies.

Mobilization with cyclophosphamide reduces the number of lymphocyte subpopulations in the leukapheresis product and delays their reconstitution after autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in patients with multiple myeloma

open access: yesRadiology and Oncology, 2016
Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is considered the standard of care for younger patients with multiple myeloma. Several mobilization regimens are currently used, most commonly growth factors alone or in combination with chemotherapy ...

Upfront autologous stem cell transplantation for newly diagnosed elderly multiple myeloma patients: a prospective multicenter study

open access: yesHaematologica, 2016
The feasibility and efficacy of high-dose melphalan followed by autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in newly diagnosed elderly patients with multiple myeloma was analyzed prospectively. Fifty-six multiple myeloma patients, aged 65 years or

Post CAR‐T Measurable Residual Disease Monitoring in Mantle Cell Lymphoma Enables Early Detection of Disease Relapse

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT CD19‐directed chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy has transformed outcomes for patients with relapsed or refractory (r/r) mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), yet more than 40% relapse within one year. Early identification of patients at risk for progression could inform post CAR‐T surveillance and consolidation strategies.

The Role of the Gut Microbiota in Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo‐HCT) is an effective treatment for patients with high‐risk hematologic malignancies. Over the last decade, gut microbiota composition during allo‐HCT has been associated with patients' outcomes.

A Comparison of Allogeneic and Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation for Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Hematology-Oncology and Stem Cell Research, 2009
Introduction: Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) is a clonal  malignant disease of hematopoietic tissue. The early use of  Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) for AML was for patients with advanced stages of disease, usually while in relapse, in
