An Automated Inspection System

The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2002
An automated inspection system for manufactured parts is proposed using a cloud of 3D measured points of a part provided by a range sensor, and its CAD model. In spite of the high precision attained by coordinate measuring machines (CMM), range sensors offer significant advantages for dimensional inspection: a high speed of digitisation and the ...

AUTOMATED INSPECTION OF PLANTS

Acta Horticulturae, 1992
This paper describes a vision system for the inspection of small plants in trays. The system finds the empty cells in the tray and gives this information to a device that empties the cells. Special lighting conditions make the system reliable although several different soil covering materials are used.

Automating the software inspection process

Automated Software Engineering, 1996
Inspection is widely believed to be the most cost-effective method for detecting defects in documents produced during the software development lifecycle. However, it is by its very nature a labour intensive process. This has led to work on computer support for the process which should increase the efficiency and effectiveness beyond what is currently ...

Automating Guidelines Inspection

2007
This work focuses on how we can improve automatic evaluation based on guidelines inspection throughout the life cycle of Web applications by mapping guideline concepts to different artifacts produced during the development process. In order to support such an evaluation approach, we present a tool for automated evaluation based on guidelines ...
