Automata and automatic sequences

open access: yes, 1995
In the following pages we discuss infinite sequences defined on a finite alphabet, and more specially those which are generated by finite automata. We have divided our paper into seven parts which are more or less self-contained. Needless to say, we feel that the order we propose is the most natural one.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Interobserver and sequence variability in the delineation of pelvic organs at risk on magnetic resonance images

open access: yesRadiology and Oncology
This study evaluates the contouring variability among observers using MR images reconstructed by different sequences and quantifies the differences of automatic segmentation models for different sequences.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Attention Multi-Scale Network for Automatic Layer Extraction of Ice Radar Topological Sequences

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Analyzing the surface and bedrock locations in radar imagery enables the computation of ice sheet thickness, which is important for the study of ice sheets, their volume and how they may contribute to global climate change.

Adaptive text mining: Inferring structure from sequences

open access: yes, 2004
Text mining is about inferring structure from sequences representing natural language text, and may be defined as the process of analyzing text to extract information that is useful for particular purposes.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

AUTOMATIC SPATIO-TEMPORAL FLOW VELOCITY MEASUREMENT IN SMALL RIVERS USING THERMAL IMAGE SEQUENCES [PDF]

open access: yesISPRS Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2018
An automatic spatio-temporal flow velocity measurement approach, using an uncooled thermal camera, is proposed in this paper. The basic principle of the method is to track visible thermal features at the water surface in thermal camera image sequences ...
