Functional Mapping of Neurodevelopmental Disease Pathways to Key Neurodevelopmental Processes Represented in the Developmental Neurotoxicity In Vitro Testing Battery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human‐relevant methods are essential for modern chemical safety assessment. This study helps define the capabilities and boundaries of an in vitro testing battery for developmental neurotoxicity by exploring its biological applicability domain. By linking neurodevelopmental disease‐related pathways to key neurodevelopmental processes, the work enhances

HNRNPU K181 Lactylation Drives Cervical Cancer Growth by Upregulating PHGDH and Reprogramming Serine Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate in cervical cancer induces HNRNPU K181 lactylation, opposed by NAA50‐mediated acetylation and suppressed by Pazopanib. This lactylation enhances HNRNPU binding to PHGDH pre‐mRNA exon 1, maintaining exon 1‐containing transcripts and mRNA stability, thereby activating serine metabolism.

Leveraging Uncertainty for Finnish L2 Speech Scoring with LLMs

open access: yes
Automatic speech assessment (ASA) supports learning but often requires extensive data, which is scarce for languages with fewer learners. Recent research shows that Large Language Models (LLMs) can generalize to new tasks with minimal training data using
