Automobile driving and Alzheimer's disease
Automobile driving surveys designed for drivers, nondrivers, and caregivers were mailed to 70 patients with a diagnosis of probable Alzheimer's disease and to their caregivers. The MMSE score of patients who were driving (n=16) was significantly higher (23.9 vs. 11.7 p < .001) than that of nondrivers.

Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells

Subjective equivalence of steering wheel vibration and sound [PDF]
The subjective equivalence between steering wheel vibration and sound was investigated in two experiments. In each experiment, 20 subjects were presented 64 pairs of simultaneous sound and vibration stimuli in a simulator which reproduced a realistic ...

Ubiquitination of transcription factors in cancer: unveiling therapeutic potential
In cancer, dysregulated ubiquitination of transcription factors contributes to the uncontrolled growth and survival characteristics of tumors. Tumor suppressors are degraded by aberrant ubiquitination, or oncogenic transcription factors gain stability through ubiquitination, thereby promoting tumorigenesis.

A Quantitative Analysis of Suburbanization and the Diffusion of the Automobile [PDF]
Suburbanization in the U.S. between 1910 and 1970 was concurrent with the rapid diffusion of the automobile. A circular city model is developed in order to access quantitatively the contribution of automobiles and rising incomes to suburbanization.

The role of the scale and the frequency bandwidth of steering wheel vibration on road surface recognition [PDF]
Automobile drivers are regularly exposed to vibrational stimuli in their vehicle. Of the automobile subsystems, the steering wheel is one of the most important due to its role in controlling the vehicle.
