Autoradiography and Fluorography [PDF]

open access: possible, 1987
Autoradiography is a process of photographic image formation, caused by exposure of film to emissions from radioisotopes. Since the image density will be at a maximum close to the source of radiation, autoradiography allows both the detection and localisation of radioactive molecules in a gel, or on the surface of a filter or thin layer chromatography (

Electron Microscopy and Autoradiography

Science, 1961
The combined techniques of electron microscopy and autoradiography were used for the purpose of differentiating radioactive from nonradioactive particles collected on membrane filters. Newer methods of processing the membrane filters and applying the nuclear emulsion have resulted in an improvement in the qualitative nature of the procedure.

Autoradiography

1986
Publisher Summary This chapter describes autoradiography as a process that is used to detect the location of radioactivity on filters or in gels used in experiments. The filter or gel containing radioactivity is placed in the dark under an unexposed X-ray film and enclosed in an X-ray film holder cassette for a period of time.
