Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

A Two-Stage Deep Learning Method for Auxiliary Diagnosis of Upper Limb Fractures Based on ResNet-50 and Enhanced YOLO

open access: yesMathematics
Aiming at the problem that the existing auxiliary diagnosis methods for fractures are mostly limited to specific body parts and lack generality and robustness when applied to multi-part diagnoses, this study proposes a two-stage upper limb fracture ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Auxiliary Signal Design for Fault Detection for Nonlinear Systems: Direct Approach

open access: yes, 2008
The main task of active fault detection is to design an auxiliary signal which acting on the system will reveal to the observer a potential fault of the system.

Trajectory Control of a Cart-inverted Pendulum System in the Presence of a Jet Force for an Open Loop Stabilization

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2011
This paper presents an investigation on the stabilization and the tracking problem of an inverted pendulum-cart system. An open loop subsystem is augmented to the original components which comprises an auxiliary stable pendant pendulum, (P.P.), and a ...

Evaluating Scientific Tourism of Geoheritage: An Empirical Study of Fangshan Global Geopark in Beijing

open access: yesLand
Scientific tourism (ScT) of geoheritage serves as a crucial approach to ensuring the protection of natural heritage. Establishing a comprehensive evaluation system to guide the exploration of ScT in geoheritage is essential.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

A new auxiliary function method for systems of nonlinear equations

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we present a new global optimization method to solve nonlinear systems of equations. We reformulate given system of nonlinear equations as a global optimization problem and then give a new auxiliary function method to solve the ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Auxiliary Density Perturbation Theory for Restricted Open-Shell Systems

open access: yes, 2017
The recently developed approach to auxiliary density perturbation theory (<em>J. Chem. Phys.</em> <strong>2008</strong>, <em>128</em>, 134105) for the purpose of calculating molecular properties is here extended to ...
