Relaxation Time Mapping of Early‐Stage Osteonecrosis of the Femoral Head: An In Vivo Piglet Model Study

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Research, Volume 44, Issue 6, June 2026.
T2, T1ρ, adiabatic T1ρ, and adiabatic T2ρ relaxation time mapping techniques are sensitive in detecting ischemic injury to bone marrow of the femoral head in vivo in a piglet model at 3 T MRI. T2 and adiabatic T2ρ relaxation times have the most pronounced increase in ischemic versus perfused, contralateral‐control femoral heads 1 week after induction ...

Secretome and Pathway Analysis of Stress Induced Disc Degeneration In Vitro

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
Integrated secretome and phosphoprotein profiling of human nucleus pulposus cells revealed that IL‐1β and TLR2/6 activation induce a shared degenerative program, defined by consistent upregulation of IL‐6, IL‐8, GRO‐α, ICAM‐1, and MMP‐7 and convergence on NF‐κB/AP‐1 signaling.

Inhibition of PLA2G15 Alleviates Palmitic Acid‐Induced Lysosomal Membrane Permeabilization in Human Nucleus Pulposus Cells During Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
LMP is responsible for lysosomal dysfunction in IDD. The lipid composition changes in the lysosomal membrane, mediated by PLA2G15, are the cause of LMP. The C/EBPα significantly promotes PLA2G15 expression under PA overload stress. Inhibition of PLA2G15 alleviates PA‐induced LMP by inhibiting the hydrolysis of lysosomal membrane phospholipids. Defining the Human Nucleus Pulposus Microenvironment and Its Impact on Cell Matrix Synthesis and Metabolic Activity

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
Human intervertebral disc nutrient microenvironment. Changes observed in microenvironmental profile as a result of degeneration outlined on upper vertebral body with ranges of each species as reported in previous studies. Oxygen, glucose, and lactate gradients are profiled across the lower disc in both healthy and degenerated states.

Detection of avascular necrosis on routine diffusion-weighted whole body MRI in patients with multiple myeloma.

open access: yes, 2019
OBJECTIVE: Current therapies for multiple myeloma, which include corticosteroids, increase risk of avascular necrosis. The aim of this study was to assess incidental detection of femoral head avascular necrosis on routine whole body MRI including ...

Immunotherapy‐Related Cutaneous Toxicities in Melanoma: A Dermoscopic Perspective

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, Volume 5, Issue 2, Page 402-414, June 2026.
Dermoscopy serves as a valuable tool in the everyday dermatological and oncological practice for melanoma patients, allowing for the prompt identification of immune‐related cutaneous toxicities and guiding clinicians toward appropriate therapeutic decisions.

Avascular necrosis in congenital hip dislocation. The significance of splintage

open access: yes, 1986
Avascular necrosis is an iatrogenic complication of the treatment of congenital dislocation of the hip. In order to assess the incidence of this and other complications, we have reviewed a consecutive series of 211 children treated at some stage with ...

Necrosis avascular de ambas caderas y rodillas en una paciente con colitis ulcerosa tratada prolongadamente con corticoides a dosis altas A vascular necrosis of both hips and knees in a patient with ulcerative colitis treated for a long term with high-dose corticosteroids

Optimal umbilical artery Doppler chart for predicting placenta‐mediated fetal growth restriction

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 67, Issue 6, Page 783-794, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the predictive accuracy of selected umbilical artery (UA) pulsatility index (PI) reference charts for outcomes associated with placenta‐mediated fetal growth restriction (FGR). Methods This was a retrospective cohort study of individuals with a singleton pregnancy who underwent UA Doppler assessment ≥ 20 weeks' gestation ...

Exploring hemodynamic alterations in gastroschisis: insights into fetal growth restriction using prenatal MRI

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 67, Issue 6, Page 795-805, June 2026.
Abstract Objective Despite the high incidence of fetal growth restriction (FGR) in gastroschisis (GS) associated with placental fetal vascular malperfusion (FVM), the underlying mechanism remains unclear. We aimed to investigate whether umbilical vein (UV) stenosis at the abdominal wall defect impairs fetoplacental circulation, leading to FGR.
