Averaging Premises

open access: yesMathware & soft computing, 2001
This paper deals with the sets of strict conjectures and consequences of a given collection $P$ of premises. The set of Averaging Functions is introduced on lattices and some properties of these functions are shown. Averaging Functions allow to interpret "restricted consequences'' as averages of premises.

Connections between Tsallis' formalisms employing the standard linear average energy and ones employing the normalized $q$-average energy

open access: yes, 2004
Tsallis' thermostatistics with the standard linear average energy is revisited by employing $S_{2-q}$, which is the Tsallis entropy with $q$ replaced by $2-q$.

Characterizing Parental Concerns About Lasting Impacts of Treatment in Children With B‐Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background B‐acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B‐ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer, and while most children in high‐resource settings are cured, therapy carries risks for long‐term toxicities. Understanding parents’ concerns about these late effects is essential to guide anticipatory support and inform evolving therapeutic approaches ...

Clinical Characteristics and Prognostic Risk Factors for Pediatric B‐Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study for China Net Childhood Lymphoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background B‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B‐LBL) represents a rare variety of non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, with limited research on its biology, progression, and management. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical characteristics of 256 patients aged ≤18 years who received treatment under the China Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL)‐

Average formation length in string model

open access: yes, 2010
The space-time scales of the hadronization process in the framework of string model are investigated. It is shown that the average formation lengths of pseudoscalar mesons, produced in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering (DIS) of leptons on ...

Forecasting with Deep Learning: Beyond Average of Average of Average Performance

open access: yes
Accurate evaluation of forecasting models is essential for ensuring reliable predictions. Current practices for evaluating and comparing forecasting models focus on summarising performance into a single score, using metrics such as SMAPE. We hypothesize that averaging performance over all samples dilutes relevant information about the relative ...
