YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Optimized FSO System Performance over Atmospheric Turbulence Channels with Pointing Error and Weather Conditions [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2016
In this paper, Bit Error rate and probability of outage are derived in closed form for plane wave mode over Gamma-Gamma free space optical channel under the influence of pointing errors and different weather conditions.

Cognitive Status in People With Epilepsy in the Republic of Guinea: A Prospective, Case–Control Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective People with epilepsy (PWE) may experience cognitive deficits but fail to undergo formal evaluation. This study compares cognitive status between PWE and healthy controls in the West African Republic of Guinea. Methods A cross‐sectional, case–control study was conducted in sequential recruitment phases (July 2024–July 2025) at Ignace ...

Average capacity and bit error rate of vortex gamma beams propagating in non-Kolmogorov atmospheric turbulence

open access: yesOptics Express
In recent years, free-space optical communication based on various vortex beams has gained significant attention due to its high channel capacity and low bit error rate (BER). To investigate a novel type of vortex beam (termed as gamma beam) and its application in free-space optical communication (FSO), a comprehensive analysis of its transmission ...
