ABSTRACT Rates of cancer among adolescents and young adults (AYA), age 15–39 years, are increasing. Consequently, radiation oncologists are treating more AYAs who have diagnoses spanning both pediatric and adult practices. Compared to pediatric and older adult patients, AYAs face a unique set of challenges.

Amortized Averaging Algorithms for Approximate Consensus
We introduce a new class of distributed algorithms for the approximate consensus problem in dynamic rooted networks, which we call amortized averaging algorithms. They are deduced from ordinary averaging algorithms by adding a value-gathering phase before each value update. This allows their decision time to drop from being exponential in the number $n$

Distributed Average Consensus With Dithered Quantization [PDF]
In this paper, we develop algorithms for distributed computation of averages of the node data over networks with bandwidth/power constraints or large volumes of data. Distributed averaging algorithms fail to achieve consensus when deterministic uniform quantization is adopted.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Distributed average consensus for wireless sensor networks [PDF]
Wireless sensor networks have emerged a few years ago, enabling large scale sensing at low cost. There are many interesting problems related to this new sensing tool: designing robust and small hardware, defining adapted routing protocols, minimizing the

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Distributed PD Average Consensus of Lipschitz Nonlinear MASs in the Presence of Mixed Delays
In this work, the distributed average consensus for dynamical networks with Lipschitz nonlinear dynamics is studied, where the network communication switches quickly among a set of directed and balanced switching graphs.

Distributed Adaptive Multi-agent Rendezvous Control Based on Average Consensus Protocol [PDF]
Distributed rendezvous control is an important issue in multi-agent collaborative control.Due to the limited mobility and perception capabilities of agents, traditional distributed rendezvous algorithms are difficult to ensure connectivity, thereby ...

Average Consensus with Prescribed Performance Guarantees for Multi-Agent Double-Integrator Systems [PDF]
We consider a double-integrator multi-agent system and we propose two distributed controllers guaranteeing a prescribed transient behaviour for the relative positions between neighbouring agents.
