Maximizing energy efficiency in wireless networks with a minimum average throughput requirement

open access: yes2012 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC), 2012
Given the growing concern over energy consumption and associated global warming, green communication is becoming more and more important. Lots of efforts have been put into investigating energy efficiency based design in wireless systems.

Quantifying Computational Effort Required for Stochastic Averages [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Theory and Computation, 2014
We propose a measure that quantifies the effort needed to compute a given stochastic average, considered in the context of molecular modeling. This "difficulty index" is defined in terms of CPU time, observed uncertainty, and a characteristic scale for the quantity being computed.

Nitrogen requirement of sugar beet grown on mineral soils [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
The effect of nitrogen fertilizer on the yield of sugar beet was tested in 170 experiments done between 1957 and 1966; results of 88 experiments, some testing five and six amounts of N, have not previously been published.

Food Consumption Pattern of Adolescents in Delhi-NCR Born Full Term with Low Birth Weight with Reference to the New Estimated Average Requirement [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2021
Introduction: Nutrition and lifestyle transition in India have attributed to the burden of malnutrition in early life. Evidence suggests that children born Low Birth Weight (LBW) are at increased risk of later life diseases.

A STUDY OF THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE AVERAGE PROSPECTIVE MEDICAL STUDENT IN 1892. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Medical Association, 1893
It has been often questioned whether the average medical student is better educated to-day than ten years ago or not. Not knowing the species then, I cannot answer. I happen to have in my possession evidence of the scholarship of the average man who proposes to study medicine to-day.
