Averaging techniques without requiring a fast time-varying differential equation [PDF]

open access: yesAutomatica, 2011
The authors obtain sufficient conditions for the stability of the zero solution of the essentially nonlinear system \[ \dot{x}(t)=f(x(t),t) \tag{1} \] when the asymptotic stability of the zero solution of the averaged system \[ \dot{x}(t)=\bar f(x(t)) \tag{2} \] yields the local uniform asymptotic stability of the complete system (1).

Effect of Different Working and Tool Parameters on Performance of Several Types of Cultivators

open access: yesAgriculture, 2020
In this study, the effects of tillage depth, forward speed and soil moisture content during the cultivator operation on the draft force, energy requirement, and soil disturbance were investigated using five types of cultivators.

On improving APIT algorithm for better localization in WSN [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining, 2014
In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), localization algorithms could be range-based or range-free. The Approximate Point in Triangle (APIT) is a range-free approach. We propose modification of the APIT algorithm and refer as modified-APIT.

Sampling requirements and adaptive spatial averaging for incoherent digital holography

open access: yesOptics Express, 2019
Incoherent digital holography (IDH) enables passive 3D imaging under spatially incoherent light; however, the reconstructed images are seriously affected by detector noise. Herein, we derive theoretical sampling requirements for IDH to reduce this noise via simple postprocessing based on spatial averaging.

Dietary variety and nutrient intake among Japanese community-dwelling older adults: A cross-sectional study

open access: yesAging and Health Research
Background: Maintaining good nutritional status through a varied diet is key to healthy aging. Methods: This cross-sectional study investigated the association between dietary variety based on the food frequency score (FFS, the score of the frequency of ...

Estimation of the tryptophan requirement in piglets by meta-analysis

open access: yesAnimal, 2012
There is no consensus concerning the Trp requirement for piglets expressed relative to Lys on a standardized ileal digestible basis (SID Trp : Lys). A meta-analysis was performed to estimate the SID Trp : Lys ratio that maximizes performance of weaned ...

Investigating the effect of irrigation method on onion yield under drought stress [PDF]

open access: yesرویکردهای نوین در مهندسی آب و محیط زیست
Water is the most important factor limiting agriculture in the country. For this purpose, the effect of two irrigation methods (basin irrigation and tape irrigation) and three irrigation levels (50, 75 and 100 percent of the plant's water requirement) on

Stagewise water requirement of vegetable crops under protected and unprotected cultivation

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2022
The study was undertaken with the objective to estimate the crop water requirement of capsicum (Capsicum annuum L.), cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) grown under naturally ventilated polyhouse and open environment during

Reducing computational requirement of stability analysis of milling by partial averaging [PDF]

open access: yesManufacturing Review, 2014

Lack of association between either outpatient or inpatient glycemic control and COVID-19 illness severity or mortality in patients with diabetes

open access: yesBMJ Open Diabetes Research & Care, 2021
Introduction To evaluate whether outpatient insulin treatment, hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), glucose on admission, or glycemic control during hospitalization is associated with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) illness severity or mortality in hospitalized patients with ...
