Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

New Image Steganographic Methods Using Run-Length Approach

open access: yes, 2012
[[abstract]]This study proposes two efficient data hiding methods incorporating both run-length encoding and modular arithmetic. The first method, BRL (hiding bitmap files by run-length), is suitable for embedding simple data with long streams of ...

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Attribute Control Chart Using the Repetitive Sampling Under Neutrosophic System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, an attribute control chart using the repetitive sampling under the neutrosophic statistics system is discussed. The necessary measures of the proposed control chart under the neutrosophic statistics system are given.

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

New extended exponentially weighted moving average control chart for monitoring process mean

open access: yesHeliyon
In this article, we develop a new control chart based on the Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA) statistic, termed the New Extended Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (NEEWMA) statistic, designed to recognize slight changes in the process ...

Mixed Control Charts Using EWMA Statistics

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
In this paper, two mixed control charts are designed for process monitoring when the quality characteristic of interest follows a normal distribution.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.
