The correlation between optical coherence tomography retinal shape irregularity and axial length.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
PurposeTo describe the retinal contour in optical coherence tomography (OCT) images, and report the relationship between retinal contour and axial length.MethodsRetinal contour was defined by the path of the retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) line in ...

Hubungan antara Panjang Aksial Bola Mata dan Derajat Miopia dengan Tekanan Intraokular

open access: yesMedical and Health Science Journal, 2020
Some studies reported that myopia especially high myopia has long axial length. This condition showed with higher intraocular pressure (IOP) and become one of the risk factor of primary open angle glaucoma.

Risk of Retinopathy Associated with Long‐Term Use of Hydroxychloroquine in Patients with Rheumatic Diseases: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to estimate the prevalence and cumulative incidence of hydroxychloroquine retinopathy (HCQ‐R) and its risk factors among patients receiving long‐term HCQ with rheumatic diseases through a systematic review and meta‐analysis of observational studies that used spectral‐domain optical coherence tomography (SD‐OCT) for screening ...

Effect of short-term peripheral myopic defocus on ocular biometrics using Fresnel “press-on” lenses in humans

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
This study assessed axial length and choroidal thickness changes following short-term peripheral myopic defocus in normal adult subjects. Twenty subjects underwent defocus sessions by viewing a full-field projected movie 4 m away for 4 h in the morning ...

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Case report: Biometry in air-filled eye following retinal surgery

open access: yesKerala Journal of Ophthalmology, 2019
A 70-year-old male patient presented with vitreous hemorrhage in his right eye, for which he was advised for pars plana vitrectomy and endolaser. During the surgery, there was inadvertent contact with the crystalline lens with one of the intraocular ...

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...
