Analysis of Axial Magnetic Field of Slot Type Axial Magnetic Field Contacts with Iron Plates

2006 International Symposium on Discharges and Electrical Insulation in Vacuum, 2006
This paper introduces a new kind of slot type axial magnetic field (AMF) contact with iron plates. The objective of this paper is to analyze AMF characteristics of the new contact. The analysis was done by finite element method. Influence of iron plate parameters on AMF characteristics, such as axial magnetic flux density at current peak and current ...

Response of fiber lasers to an axial magnetic field

Optics Letters, 1995
The effects of an axial magnetic field applied to a fiber laser cavity on the polarization characteristics of the fiber laser output are investigated. The experimental and theoretical results show sensitive changes in the polarization mode beat frequency as a function of the applied magnetic field.

Analysis of axial magnetic field of an iron style bipolar axial magnetic field vacuum interrupter

Proceedings ISDEIV. 19th International Symposium on Discharges and Electrical Insulation in Vacuum (Cat. No.00CH37041), 2001
Iron style bipolar axial magnetic field vacuum interrupter is a novel vacuum interrupter and it is the first one that is developed in China. Its axial magnetic field in the gap and eddy current in the iron core are analyzed. It is shown from the static axial magnetic field analysis that its axial magnetic flux density is very high and its distribution ...

Axial Magnetic Fields in Laser-Produced Plasmas

Physical Review Letters, 1985
Important axial magnetic fields can grow up through the dynamo effect in laser-matter interactions. The growth rate of these fields is calculated for an isothermal plasma. Faraday rotation on the backscattered emission shows that axial fields in the megagauss range are present in a laser-produced plasma.

Axial magnetic field lens with permanent magnet

Proceedings of International Conference on Particle Accelerators, 2002
A compact permanent magnet symmetric lens which produces an axial magnetic field is studied. The proposed lens has no iron pole piece except for the return poles on both ends. It can produce a magnetic field on the axis more than the remanent field of the magnet material by perpendicular field superimposition. >

Measurement of magnetic fields in axial field motors

1992. Digests of Intermag. International Magnetics Conference, 1992
Measurements of the magnetic field in three axial field brushless DC motors are described. Three different magnetic materials are used in these motors. A closed-form analytical equation, which is based on a 2-D approximation, is used for calculating the flux density.

The Effect of Axial Magnetic Fields on Gas Lasers

Applied Optics, 1966
An expression is obtained for the intensity of polarized light transmitted through a laser amplifier and linear polarizer, as a function of the strength of an axial magnetic field. The result is compared with an experiment reported by Hotz in which it was claimed that the natural width of the laser transition was measured.

Bipolar axial magnetic field contact

Proceedings of 17th International Symposium on Discharges and Electrical Insulation in Vacuum, 2002
In this paper, the bipolar axial magnetic field contact is introduced. The magnetic field has been calculated and evaluated. The vacuum interrupters were built and tested. From the results, it shows that this principle is suitable for very high current and high voltage applications.

Simulation of Axial Components of Magnetic Field of Annular Magnet

2019 International Russian Automation Conference (RusAutoCon), 2019
In the article the explanation is offered to the effect of change of the direction of magnetic field of the magnet of a ring form magnetized perpendicular to the magnet plane. Subject to development and the focus of this article is the behavior of a component of magnetic field along an axis of a ring magnet.

Self-fields in a planar wiggler and axial magnetic field

Physics of Plasmas, 2007
A theory for self-fields induced by charge and current densities of the electron beam in a free-electron laser with planar wiggler and axial magnetic field is presented. Mutual influence of the electron velocity and self-magnetic field is considered to account for the total self-magnetic field. The quasisteady-state orbits and their stability under the
