Dealing With the Failure Risk in Modal Tracking and Condition Evaluation From Damage of Sensors in Long‐Term Monitoring Using Adaptive Strategy

open access: yesStructural Control and Health Monitoring, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Modal tracking and condition evaluation are two important procedures in modal parameters based bridge condition evaluation, yet they always face the risk of failure due to the spatial aliasing caused by the damage of the sensors and the variation from the noise corruption.

Data‐driven 3D modelling of long‐term Holocene delta evolution and sediment compaction: The Mekong Delta

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 1, January 2025.
A novel approach combining lithology, geochronology and geomechanics is developed to simulate palaeo‐sedimentation and autocompaction during delta evolution in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta. The results provide unique insights on Holocene delta evolution and current autocompaction dynamics and enable prediction of shallow compaction rates and natural ...

The Extension Arm Design Method Based on a Two‐Bar Tension Stretchable Mechanism

open access: yesApplied Bionics and Biomechanics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The deployable and foldable structure is a unique structural system that provides convenience in terms of transportation and expansion. Although the current deployable mast can transition between closed and extended structures, it lacks stability during movement and does not have the ability to recover on its own after contracting. Hence, improving the
