REACTIONS OF CYCLIC AZA-YLIDES WITH β-DICARBONYL COMPOUNDS

Phosphorus, Sulfur and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2001
Abstract The reactions of five- and six-membered cyclic iminophosphoranes, 3 and 4, with β-dicarbonyl compounds gave enamino phosphine oxide derivatives 5a-h in good yields. Compounds 5b and 5e were stereoselectively converted to 1,6- and 1,7-diene 9a and 9b.

Polynuclear Aza Compounds in Automotive Exhaust

Archives of Environmental Health: An International Journal, 1965
cancer. Wynder cites evidence that cigarette smoking plays the major role in the etiology of lung cancer. Hueper gives evidence that cigarette smoking is only one of many factors including air pollution which play a significant role in causing lung cancer.

NOVEL HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS VIA AZA- AND BIS-AZA-WITTIG REACTIONS

Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 1991
Abstract Two quinoxaline derivatives, 1 and 2, were prepared via a bis-aza-Wittig reaction when the suitable aromatic diamine was treated with (MeO)3PBr2/Et3N followed by the addition of benzil. Also, two additional novel heterocyclic compounds, 4 and 6 were prepared via an intramolecular aza-Wittig reaction.

The Synthesis of Fluorine-containing Aza-macrocyclic Compounds

HETEROCYCLES, 1992
Four aza-macrocyclic compounds were synthesized by reactions of phthalaldehydes and phthaloyl chlorides with N,N'-di(2-aminomethyl-3-fluorophenyl)- ethylenediamine(8) and their structures were identified.

Decyanation of cyanomethyl derivatives of aza‐aromatic compounds

Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas, 1972
Abstract2‐ and 4‐Cyanomethylpyridine, 1‐methyl‐ and 1‐benzyl‐2‐cyanomethylimidazole and 3‐cyanomethyl‐1,2,4‐triazole lose the cyano group on reaction with aqueous hydrazine at about 200°, yielding α‐ and γ‐picoline, 1,2‐dimethyl‐ and 1‐benzyl‐2‐methylimidazole and 3‐methyl‐1,2,4‐triazole, respectively. A mechanism is discussed.

Research on 1-aza two-ring compounds

Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, 1978
The applicability of competitive quaternization for the configurational assignment of isomers of 3-substituted pyrrolizidines is demonstrated. The method can be used for the preparative isolation of the isomer from mixtures.

Synthesis of Aza-, Oxa-, and Thiaporphyrins and Related Compounds

Chemical Reviews, 2016
Chemical modification at the periphery with nitrogen or chalcogens is a highly promising strategy to diversify the optical, electrochemical, magnetic, and coordination properties of the porphyrin family. Indeed, various kinds of phthalocyanines and related benzo-annelated azaporphyrinoids have been synthesized, and their fundamental properties have ...

Electronic effects in cations of aza-aromatic compounds

Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, 1975
The ionization constants of quaternary salts of hydroxy derivatives of quinolinium and benzo[h]quinolinium ions correlate satisfactorily (r=0.99, s=0.07) with the σj constants calculated by a modified F,M method. Correlation analysis makes it possible to assume that the electron distribution in the benzene fragments of the investigated cations is ...
