Telerehabilitation for Balance Disorders in People With Multiple Sclerosis: Does Therapist Presence Make a Difference?

open access: yesActa Neurologica Scandinavica, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Introduction Balance impairments are common in people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS). Although traditional rehabilitation can improve balance, telerehabilitation has emerged as a promising alternative. We explored two approaches: an individualized telerehabilitation program using the Homebalance system and a video‐based home exercise program.

Genetic and Structural Variations in Czech Patients With Congenital Myopathies

open access: yesClinical Genetics, Volume 108, Issue 6, Page 678-683, December 2025.
We present 79 unrelated patients with genetically confirmed congenital myopathy (CM). A total of 113 mutant alleles carrying 97 different variants with a presumed pathogenic effect were identified. All but five variants were small scale. The mode of inheritance was autosomal dominant (AD) (44.3%), autosomal recessive (AR) (43.0%), and X‐linked (XL) (12.

Dermatomal Contact Heat Evoked Potentials for the Detection of Subclinical Cervical Spinal Cord Injury in Asymptomatic Degenerative Cervical Cord Compression

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 32, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Asymptomatic degenerative cervical cord compression (ADCC) represents a premyelopathic stage of degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM), with high prevalence in older age and unclear management. Contact heat‐evoked potentials (CHEPs) assess the integrity of the thermo‐algesic somatosensory pathway and have shown the highest ...

Integrative miRNOMe profiling reveals the miR‐195‐5p–CHEK1 axis and its impact on luminal breast cancer outcomes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 11, Page 3409-3426, November 2025.
In luminal (ER+) breast carcinoma (BC), miRNA profiling identified miR‐195‐5p as a key regulator of proliferation that targets CHEK1, CDC25A, and CCNE1. High CHEK1 expression correlates with worse relapse‐free survival after chemotherapy, especially in patients with luminal A subtype.
