This article provides an overview of the current state of the art and future improvements in PV technology and explains how changes in the technology and design of individual PV components—at the module level, the balance‐of‐system (BOS) level, or the PV plant level—can affect the reliability, durability, and energy output of a PV system.

Multifunctional Metasurfaces for Bridging Terahertz Waves in Free Space and Waveguides
A multifunctional terahertz metasurface capable of simultaneous orthogonal polarization conversion and phase modulation is integrated onto a dielectric slab waveguide, thereby enabling efficient free‐space‐to‐guided‐wave coupling. By implementing tailored phase gradients on the metasurface, we demonstrate the formation of a focused spot within the ...

Dipole‐Quadrupole Model and Multipole Analysis of Resonant Membrane Metasurfaces
Membrane metasurfaces, arrays of holes in a dielectric membrane, are appealing because they require no substrate and allow access to resonant near‐fields. However, developing a comprehensive theoretical description for them remains challenging. We introduce a semi‐analytical dipole‐quadrupole approach to analyze their resonant spectra at arbitrary ...

Tailoring Spatial Correlations With Quantum Interference
Imposing spatial structure on interfering photons fundamentally reshapes their correlations. By controlling the mutual distinguishability of two photons, we write and edit these correlations, encoding information that is invisible to conventional intensity measurements and revealed only through their joint behavior.
