Systematic mapping of altermagnetic magnons by resonant inelastic X-ray circular dichroism [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications
Altermagnets, a unique class of magnetic materials that combines features of both ferromagnets and antiferromagnets, have garnered attention for their potential in spintronics and magnonics.

Numerical Analyses of the Polarization Dependent Cladding Mode Coupling in Localized Fiber Bragg Gratings

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
The polarization dependence of cladding mode coupling in fiber Bragg grating (FBG) plays a significant role in the excitation of surface plasmon resonances (SPR) for sensing applications.

Azimuthally polarized cathodoluminescence from InP nanowires [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2015
We determine the angle and polarization dependent emission from 1.75 µm and 2.50 µm long InP nanowires by using cathodoluminescence polarimetry. We excite the vertical wires using a 5 keV electron beam, and find that the 880 nm bandgap emission shows azimuthally polarized rings, with the number of rings depending on the wire height. The data agree well

Minimal Focal Spot Size Measured Based on Intensity and Power Flow

open access: yesSensors, 2021
It is shown, theoretically and numerically, that the distributions of the longitudinal energy flow for tightly focused light with circular and linear polarization are the same, and that the spot has circular symmetry.

A Circularly Polarized Parallel Plate Waveguide Lens-Like Multiple-Beam Linear Array Antenna for Satcom Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
This work presents a full metal circularly-polarized lens-like antenna for Satcom applications at Ka-band. The antenna is composed of two continuous parallel plate waveguide (PPW) quasi-optical beamformers (QOBF), feeding an array of septum polarizers to

3D Surface Reconstruction Method for Microsamples Based on Polarization Modulation Microscopy

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2023
A novel microscopic Shape-From-Polarization (SFP) 3D shape reconstruction method is proposed, in which degree of polarization is calculated using Polarized Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (PBRDF) to overcome azimuthal ambiguity for both ...

Measurement of Azimuthal Asymmetries in Inclusive Production of Hadron Pairs in e+e- Annihilation at Belle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The Collins effect connects transverse quark spin with a measurable azimuthal dependence in the yield of hadronic fragments around the quark's momentum vector.

Fiber based polarization filter for radially and azimuthally polarized light

open access: yesOptics Express, 2011
We demonstrate a new fiber based concept to filter azimuthally or radially polarized light. This concept is based on the lifting of the modal degeneracy that takes place in high numerical aperture fibers. In such fibers, the radially and azimuthally polarized modes can be spectrally separated using a fiber Bragg grating.
