The ability of photoacids to increase their acidity in response to light irradiation (excited state proton transfer, ESPT) makes them attractive building blocks for the design of stimuli‐responsive copolymers. In this contribution, we present highly biocompatible polyphotoacids based on poly(2‐oxazoline)s bearing 1‐hydroxypyrene units. Low cytotoxicity,

Donor–acceptor Stenhouse aDdducts (DASAs) are known for their photoinduced tautomerization, which, when conjugated to block copolymers, can self‐assemble into tuneable polymersomes. These DASA‐polymersomes are being investigated for light‐controlled cargo release in biomedical applications.

This work presents a practical approach for formulating 4D printable inks that incorporates substantial fractions of low molecular weight mesogens. By blending low molecular weight diacrylate or monoacrylate constituents with a high molecular weight main‐chain macromer, the resulting mixture proves suitable for direct ink writing, enabling mechanical ...

Light‐programmable, non‐cytotoxic ion gels based on ABC triblock copolymers undergo photoreversible sol‐gel transitions, crossing the rheological boundary (tan δ ∼ 1). UV–vis light irradiation modulates the lifetime of reversible junctions, switching the scaffold between liquid‐like and solid (gel)‐like states.

Theoretical study on the alkyl chain length impact of azobenzene-based photoresponsive ionic liquids
The light-modulated isomerization and aggregation behavior of ionic liquids (ILs) in aqueous solutions holds fundamental and technological significance. Although several azobenzene-based photoresponsive ILs have been synthesized, there is still a lack of
