Is it possible to use Kinect sensor for lying position rehabilitation exercise? Kinect V2 versus Azure Kinect

AHFE International, 2023
The availability of low-cost portable depth sensor camera brings opportunity to be applied in home-based rehabilitation exercise for stroke and other chronic disease patients. Kinect V2 seemed not feasible to easily track motion in a lying position, while the latest Microsoft Azure Kinect has improved the sensor.

Performance Analysis of Body Tracking with the Microsoft Azure Kinect

2021 29th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED), 2021
Real-time control of cooperative robots, or cobots, in industrial environments is a mandatory task to reduce the risk for workers by improving their safety. The task of cobot control always requires input data about the surroundings to enable planning procedures and proper reactions to unpredictable events, such as human actions.

Ground reaction force and joint moment estimation during gait using an Azure Kinect-driven musculoskeletal modeling approach.

Gait & Posture, 2022
BACKGROUND Gait analysis is burdened by time and equipment costs, interpretation, and accessibility of three-dimensional motion analysis systems. Evidence suggests growing adoption of gait testing in the shift toward evidence-based medicine.

Geometric Correction for Projection Image Based on Azure Kinect Depth Data

2020 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV), 2020
In order to improve the universality of the projector to the irregular projection surface environment, a geometric distortion correction algorithm for projection images based on Azure Kinect depth data was proposed. The algorithm used Azure Kinect to collect the color information and depth information of the irregular projection surface, obtained the ...
