Bevacizumab‐Associated Eczema Herpeticum in Metastatic Ovarian Carcinoma: A Case Report

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Eczema herpeticum (EH) is a rare but potentially life‐threatening cutaneous infection caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV), classically associated with atopic dermatitis. Its occurrence in oncology patients receiving anti‐angiogenic targeted therapy and cytotoxic chemotherapy is exceedingly uncommon.

Impact of Co‐Morbid Immunocompromise in HPV‐Associated Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
Among patients with surgically resected Human Papillomavirus positive (HPV+) oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC), immunocompromised patients had significantly worse overall survival compared to the non‐compromised group; however, these exploratory findings should be interpreted cautiously.

Advances and challenges in experimental models for Epstein–Barr virus research

open access: yesmLife, EarlyView.
Abstract Epstein–Barr virus (EBV), the first identified human oncovirus, is a ubiquitous γ‐herpesvirus etiologically linked to diverse malignancies, lymphoproliferative disorders, and autoimmune diseases. Experimental models are pivotal for unraveling the infection and pathogenesis mechanisms, life cycle regulation, as well as development and ...

Long‐term outcomes of haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation with antithymocyte globulin–based myeloablative conditioning in pediatric refractory or relapsed non‐Hodgkin lymphoma

open access: yesPediatric Investigation, EarlyView.
Single‐center retrospective data showed that ATG‐based myeloablative haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation provides durable remission and favorable long‐term survival in children with refractory/relapsed non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, achieving high engraftment rates, low relapse incidence, and acceptable toxicity.

Endocrine therapy‐induced cancer‐related fatigue in hormone‐dependent malignancies: Mechanisms, impact, and management strategies

open access: yesPrecision Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
Multipathway schematic of endocrine therapy–induced cancer‐related fatigue. Endocrine interventions trigger four interacting mechanisms—neuroendocrine dysregulation, systemic inflammation, energy‐metabolic failure, and psycho‐behavioral amplification—that culminate in the multidimensional CRF phenotype.

Lymphoma in HIV patients: Varied presentations

open access: yesIndian Journal of Medical and Paediatric Oncology, 2010
Although lymphomas have been reported in patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, it has rarely been reported from the Indian subcontinent. We present three human immunodeficiency virus-infected patients (two adults and one child) who had non ...

Effects of proton therapy on the tumor immune system and clinical implications: A review

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
Proton therapy is a novel radiotherapy technique. We review four aspects of proton therapy: application in various tumors, effects on the tumor immune system, combination with other therapies, and future challenges. By presenting these aspects in this review, we aim to inspire clinical interventions.

Semi‐mechanistic population PK/PD model to aid clinical understanding of myelodysplastic syndromes following treatment with Venetoclax and Azacitidine

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 448-459, March 2025.
Abstract Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) represent a group of bone marrow disorders involving cytopenias, hypercellular bone marrow, and dysplastic hematopoietic progenitors. MDS remains a challenge to treat due to the complex interplay between disease‐induced and treatment‐related cytopenias.

A Multiple‐Model‐Informed Drug‐Development Approach for Optimal Regimen Selection of an Oncolytic Virus in Combination With Pembrolizumab

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 572-582, March 2025.
ABSTRACT The antitumor efficacy of an intratumoral injection of a genetically engineered oncolytic vaccinia virus carrying human IL‐7 and murine IL‐12 genes (hIL‐7/mIL‐12‐VV) was demonstrated in CT26.WT‐bearing mice. In the CT26.WT‐bearing mouse model, the efficacy of the combination of hIL‐7/mIL‐12‐VV plus the anti‐programmed cell death protein (PD)‐1
