Physics‐Constrained Constitutive Learning of Rate‐Limiting Timescales for Efficient Hydrogen‐Based Direct Reduction for Green Steel Making

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A conversion‐resolved constitutive framework is developed for the hydrogen‐based direct reduction of iron oxide pellets. Effective reaction and transport timescales are inferred directly from measured trajectories and mapped against operating conditions, pellet architecture, and composition. The analysis reveals how late‐stage transport control emerges

Transfinite Patches for Isogeometric Analysis

open access: yesMathematics
This paper extends the well-known transfinite interpolation formula, which was developed in the late 1960s by the applied mathematician William Gordon at the premises of General Motors as an extension of the pre-existing Coons interpolation formula. Here,

PancDS in Real‐World Practice: A Prospective Multicenter Validation of a Clinical Decision‐Support System Bridging Experience Gaps in Pancreatic Lesion Diagnosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic artificial intelligence system, PancDS, has been developed to distinguish pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma from mass‐forming pancreatitis by adaptively integrating clinical data, radiomics, and deep learning features. Validated across multicenter, reader‐study, and prospective settings, PancDS improves diagnostic accuracy, particularly for

Use of Smoothing Methods for Estimating the Coefficients of Time Dependent Rate Models in Survival Analysis and its Application in Psoriasis Disease

open access: yesمجله اپیدمیولوژی ایران, 2016
Background and Objectives: In studies in which each person may experience an event at different times, they are recurrent events. One of the most popular approaches in analyzing recurrent event is obtaining an estimate of the means/rate of events at ...

Bayesian Varying-coefficient Models using Adaptive Regression Splines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Varying-coefficient models provide a flexible framework for semi- and nonparametric generalized regression analysis. We present a fully Bayesian B-spline basis function approach with adaptive knot selection.

Noninvasive Characterization of Tumor Heterogeneity in HNSCC: From Clinical Utility to Biological Correlates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes a CT‐based radiomics framework to quantify intratumoral heterogeneity (ITH) in HNSCC. Using unsupervised clustering, tumor ROIs and VOIs are analyzed to calculate 2D/3D ITH scores. The score shows strong predictive value for prognosis and immunotherapy response, and is associated with tumor metabolism and immune microenvironment,

CALIBRATION RELATIONS FOR ANALOGUES OF THE BASIS SPLINES WITH UNIFORM NODES

open access: yesUral Mathematical Journal, 2017
The paper deals with generalized linear and parabolic B-splines with the uniform nodes constructed by means only one function \(\varphi(x)\). For such splines in this paper conditions have been found that guarantee satisfaction of two-scale relations.

Rectangular V-Splines

open access: yes, 1986
This article describes and presents examples of some techniques for the representation and interactive design of surfaces based on a parametric surface representation that uses v-spline curves.

Statistical encounters with complex B-splines.

open access: yes, 2009
Complex B-splines as introduced in Forster et al. (Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 20: 281-282, 2006) are an extension of Schoenberg's cardinal splines to include complex orders.
