Partial sequence analysis of B2L gene of Brazilian orf viruses from sheep and goats
Veterinary Microbiology, 2013We herein describe the partial nucleotide sequencing and phylogenetic analysis of the B2L gene of seventeen Brazilian orf viruses (ORFV). Seventeen viruses were recovered from outbreaks of contagious ecthyma in sheep and goats in four states in Southern and Northeast country, and three from commercial vaccines.

Orf is a highly contagious zoonotic disease of small ruminants caused by Parapoxvirus. Kisspeptin, encoded by the KISS1 gene with its cognate receptor GPR-54 is recognized as an upstream orchestrator in the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. This study

Phylogenetic analysis of two Chinese orf virus isolates based on sequences of B2L and VIR genes
Archives of Virology, 2013Orf virus (ORFV) is an enveloped virus with a double-stranded DNA genome, causing a contagious pustular dermatitis, mainly in goats and sheep. In this study, two strains of ORFV were isolated from sheep and goat samples in Xinjiang and Shaanxi, China. The B2L and virus interferon resistance (VIR) genes of these two isolates were sequenced and analyzed ...

Contagious ecthyma in Egypt: Clinical, virological and molecular explorations.
Virology, 2023Contagious Ecthyma (CE) is a highly contagious viral disease of sheep and goats with worldwide distribution. The present study aimed to provide a clinical description of contagious ecthyma in four sheep flocks and screen the possible genetic variation in
