Fermentation optimization of surfactin production of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens HM618

Biotechnology and applied biochemistry, 2022
This work isolated a strain named Bacillus amyloliquefaciens HM618 from the soil, which can inhibit the growths of Botrytis cinerea, Rhizoctonia solani, and Escherichia coli DH5α. Based on the results of response surface methodology, the surfactin levels

An antifungal protein fromBacillus amyloliquefaciens

Journal of Applied Microbiology, 2008
To isolate and characterize an antifungal protein from the culture broth of the bacterium Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. The antifungal protein designated as baciamin was isolated and exhibited a molecular mass around 50 kDa. Baciamin manifested a broad spectrum of antifungal activity. Baciamin could induce membrane permeabilization of tested fungi.

Antifungal Lipopeptides from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Strain BO7

Journal of Natural Products, 2011
Three new lipopeptides (1-3) were isolated from the organic extract of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain (BO7). These compounds represented the major constituents (>60%) of the total cell lipids extractable with CHCl(3)/MeOH (2:1). Elucidation of their chemical structure was carried out by spectroscopic analyses, including 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy ...

Sequence specificity of DNA methylases from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Bacillus brevis

Journal of Molecular Biology, 1978
Abstract DNA methylation in Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain H ( Bam ) † and Bacillus brevis ( Bbv ) has been examined by a variety of techniques. In vivo labelling studies revealed that Bam DNA contains no N 6 -methyladenine (MeAde), but contains 5-methylcytosine (MeCyt); approximately 0·7% of the cytosine residues are methylated. DNA

[Exonuclease III from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens].

Biokhimiia (Moscow, Russia), 1987
Bacillus amyloliquefaciens cells were found to contain an exonuclease which catalyzes the sequential hydrolysis of mononucleotides from the 3'-termini of duplex DNA. The enzyme was purified to homogeneity and its molecular weight (as determined by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate) is 29,000.

Antifungal Cyclic Lipopeptides from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Strain BO5A

Journal of Natural Products, 2013
A bioassay-guided fractionation of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain BO5A afforded the isolation of two new cyclic lipopeptides (1 and 2) as the major lipid constituents (>60%) of the CHCl3-MeOH (2:1) extract. The chemical structures of the isolated metabolites were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy, mass ...
