Characteristics, Bioactives and Antioxidant Activity of Illawarra Plum (Podocarpus elatus) Fruit
This study characterizes the physicochemical and antioxidant properties of mature Illawarra plums (IP), broadly categorized by flesh color into three ripening stages; unripe (green), almost ripe (blushing) and ripe (red). The ripe fruit measures 14.78 ± 3.1 (h) × 17.45 ± 2.7 (w) × 14.69 ± 3.0 mm (d) and weighs 2.5958 ± 1.2 g with no significant size ...

Pseudobacteriophage of Bacillus anthracis.
During the examination of some old stock cultures in November, 1924, there was found an agar slant of Bacillus anthracis which had the appearance of undergoing lysis by bacteriophage. The film of growth was interrupted by well defined partly confluent denuded areas, many of them containing small centrally located secondary colonies.

Genistein in the Prevention and Treatment of Periodontitis: A Review
Genistein, an isoflavone compound with diverse pharmacological activities, shows potential as an adjunctive therapeutic agent for periodontitis due to its anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant, and osteoprotective properties. Genistein not only mitigates the degradation of periodontal soft tissue but also demonstrates a protective effect on alveolar bone by ...

A Rare Periorbital Ulceronecrotic Wound: A Case of Anthrax Cellulitis
ABSTRACT Cutaneous anthrax is a zoonotic bacterial infection that mostly involves the head, neck, and upper extremities. Periorbital involvement of cutaneous anthrax is a rare presentation that can lead to severe irreversible complications. Herein, we describe a 2.5‐year‐old girl with periorbital anthrax cellulitis. She presented with a severe swelling
