Analysis of antimicrobial biological activity of a marine Bacillus velezensis NDB
Archives of MicrobiologyA new strain of Bacillus velezensis NDB was isolated from Xiangshan Harbor and antibacterial test revealed antibacterial activity of this strain against 12 major pathogenic bacteria. The whole genome of the bacterium was sequenced and found to consist of a 4,214,838 bp circular chromosome and a 7410 bp circular plasmid. Furthermore, it was predicted by

Functional genome annotation depicts probiotic properties of Bacillus velezensis FTC01
Gene, 2019An in silico genome analysis of the probiotic Bacillus strain FTC01 was performed. The draft genome comprises 3.9 Mb, with a G + C content of 46.6% and a total of 3941 coding sequences. The species of strain FTC01 was defined as B. velezensis during GenBank genome annotation, following the current nomenclature.

Azoreductase and dye detoxification activities of Bacillus velezensis strain AB
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2008Azo dyes are known to be a very important and widely used class of toxic and carcinogenic compounds. Although lot of research has been carried out for their removal from industrial effluents, very little attention is given to changes in their toxicity and mutagenicity during the treatment processes.

Оценка фитопатогенности бактерий Bacillus Velezensis

Probiogenomic insights into Bacillus velezensis MFSS1 for controlling aquaculture pathogens
Microbial PathogenesisBacillus velezensis MFSS1 (previously known as B. subtilis FS6) was reported to have good probiotic criteria and antibacterial activity against Vibrio spp. and Aeromonas spp., through phenotypic analysis. However, whole genome sequencing is required for commercialising a new probiotic, especially due to reports on probiotics that can cause horizontal ...
