The Extragalactic Background Radiation —1989 [PDF]
This symposium has brought back many happy memories of the time 20 years ago when Rashid Sunyaev and I surveyed what was known about the extragalactic background radiation at that time. In one of our papers of 1969, we published a simple representation of the extragalactic background radiation spectrum, as it was known then (Figure 1).

Comparative study between radiation exposure in common urological procedures
Background Fluoroscopy has become essential to urological surgery since advancement of endourology. Fluoroscopy use has increased, placing urologists as well as staff members at risk for occupational radiation exposure and related dangers.

On the (Higher Multipoles) Variance Asymmetry in the Cosmic Microwave Background
We have studied the cosmic microwave background (CMB) map looking for features beyond cosmological isotropy. We began by tiling the CMB variance maps (which are produced by different smoothing scales) with stripes of different sizes along the most ...

Impact of Interacting Parameters on Dark Matter in an Interacting Dark Energy Model
This paper investigates a dark energy model within the Friedmann–Lemaître–Robertson–Walker cosmological framework, considering both interacting and noninteracting scenarios.

A Measurement of Atmospheric Circular Polarization with POLARBEAR
At millimeter wavelengths, the atmospheric emission is circularly polarized owing to the Zeeman splitting of molecular oxygen by the Earth's magnetic field.

There is no place on the Earth, the planet we live on, where the natural background radiation level is zero. Since the birth and even in our fetal stage, we have been exposed to different sources of natural radiation.
