Backscatter Communication for Wireless-Powered Communication Networks

open access: yesThe Journal of Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences, 2015
In this paper, we introduce backscatter communication for power-limited sensors to enable long-range transmission in wireless sensor networks, and envision a way to avoid doubly near-far problem in wireless-powered communication network (WPCN) with this technology.

Ambient Backscatter Communication Design over DCSK Signals

open access: yesInternational Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2021
In this paper, a novel ambient backscatter communication system is proposed, in which Differential Chaos Shift Keying (DCSK) modulation signals are adopted as ambient RF source. In order to cancel out the strong direct-link interference as well as reduce the noise impact, a joint design of modulation waveform and signal detector is proposed, and ...

Interference Analysis of Bi-static Backscatter Communication System: Two Backscatter Devices

open access: yes2021 IEEE International Conference on RFID Technology and Applications (RFID-TA), 2021
Ambient backscatter communication (AmBC) systems utilize existing ambient radio frequency (RF) signals to establish an indirect communication link between a transmitter (TX) and a receiver (RX). Backscatter devices (BDs) modulate their useful information on the incoming ambient signal emitted by the TX, as such their range is usually a very short event

Deciphering Small Molecule Diffusion Parameters Across Light Responsive Polymersome Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Light‐responsive polymersomes bearing donor–acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASAs) enable programmable control over small‐molecule transport across synthetic membranes. By systematically varying DASA density, an optimal functionalization regime is identified that maximizes light‐gated permeability.
