Bacterial Bindance: Adhesins and Their Engagement to Host
2019In this chapter, the student will be introduced to the fundamental molecular unit of bacterial adherence, the adhesin. The interaction of bacteria with its host is framed in the context of the benefits of these interactions to bacterial survival as well as the long and short term consequences in relation to infection and disease.
