Status of Citrus Canker in Ethiopia and Malaysia, and Characterization of the Causal Agent [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Citrus canker disease surveys were conducted between August to November 2003 in Ethiopia and between January to April 2004 in West Malaysia. The pathogens were isolated and identified based on morphological characteristics and pathogenicity tests on ...

Bacterial canker resistance in tomato

open access: yes
Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis (Cmm) is the pathogen causing bacterial canker in tomato. The disease was described for the first time in 1910 in Michigan, USA. Cmmis considered the most harmful bacteria threatening tomato. Disease transmission occurs via seed and symptoms become visible at least 20 days after infection.

New powerful tools for epidemiological analyses of Xanthomonas citri pv. citri with a strong evolutionary aftertaste [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The aggravation of epidemic situations for bacterial diseases is often correlated with the emergence of new groups of strains, either because changes in the environment have favored such groups or because the strains themselves have evolved to become ...

Quantitative Real-time PCR for diagnosis and identification of Xanthomonas citri pv. citri pathotypes, the causal agent of Asiatic Citrus Canker : [P2-29] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Asiatic Citrus Canker disease is induced by #Xanthomonas citri# pv. #citri# (Xcc) and threatens most of Citrus species and cultivars in many citrus-producing countries. Two pathogenic variants with different host range were described within Xcc.
