Structural Basis of the Membrane Association by the Conserved RocS Membrane‐Targeting Sequence in Streptococcus

Chromosome segregation in Streptococcus pneumoniae depends on RocS, a bitopic protein whose membrane‐anchoring mechanisms were unclear. Using NMR and AFM, this study reveals that the widely conserved RocS anchor binds to membranes via a conserved kink‐helix motif which inserts into lipid nanodomains.

Cascade‐Responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF Heterostructure Integrates Antioxidant Activity, Infection Control, and Vascularization for Tracheal Repair

A cascade‐responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF/GelMA hydrogel is engineered as a “skeleton–backpack” platform for extensive tracheal repair. The MXene framework scavenges postoperative ROS and converts NIR light into mild hyperthermia, while the Cu‐MOF component provides pH/NIR‐responsive Cu2+ dosing for infection control, angiogenesis, and chondrogenesis.

Metformin‐Based Covalent Organic Frameworks With Excellent Biosafety and High Efficiency against Pathogenic Microorganisms

This work presents the first metformin‐based COFs featuring built‐in biosafety and a unique triple‐synergy mechanism. This scalable platform achieves broad‐spectrum eradication of bacteria and viruses, enabling reusable protective membranes with exceptional biocompatibility for advanced biomedical applications and personal protection.
