The study identified sortilin as a promising LTR, enabling targeted degradation of oncogenic proteins through an mRNA‐encoded MedTAC strategy. In a mouse model, MedTACPTK7 reduced PTK7 by up to 80%, extended survival, and showed excellent pharmacokinetics without toxicity, providing a scalable platform for targeted therapies.

The unknotted strands of life: knots are very rare in RNA structures [PDF]
The ongoing effort to detect and characterize physical entanglement in biopolymers has so far established that knots are present in many globular proteins and also abound in viral DNA packaged inside bacteriophages. RNA molecules, on the other hand, have not yet been systematically screened for the occurrence of physical knots.

Effects of Noise on Ecological Invasion Processes: Bacteriophage-mediated Competition in Bacteria [PDF]
Pathogen-mediated competition, through which an invasive species carrying and transmitting a pathogen can be a superior competitor to a more vulnerable resident species, is one of the principle driving forces influencing biodiversity in nature.

This study demonstrates that mutant FAT1 promotes ASCL2‐driven, CPT1A‐dependent fatty acid oxidation, leading to resistance to CPI‐613‐mediated TCA cycle inhibition in head and neck cancer. In vivo gene depletion of mutant FAT1 with LNP‐sgFAT1 suppresses tumor growth and restores CPI‐613 sensitivity, revealing a targetable metabolic bypass with ...

Temperate and chronic virus competition leads to low lysogen frequency [PDF]
The canonical bacteriophage is obligately lytic: the virus infects a bacterium and hijacks cell functions to produce large numbers of new viruses which burst from the cell. These viruses are well-studied, but there exist a wide range of coexisting virus lifestyles that are less understood.

Ion-dependent dynamics of DNA ejections for bacteriophage lambda [PDF]
We study the control parameters that govern the dynamics of in vitro DNA ejection in bacteriophage lambda. Past work has demonstrated that bacteriophage DNA is highly pressurized; this pressure has been hypothesized to help drive DNA ejection.

Isolation and selection of a bacteriophage-typing set for Enterobacter cloacae.
Seventy-six phages active against Enterobacter cloacae were isolated from sewage and other sources. They were tested at RTD on 92 selected strains of E. cloacae and their lytic reactions were used to select phages for a typing set.

Structure and Antigenicity of Kaposi's Sarcoma‐Associated Herpesvirus Glycoprotein B
Kaposi's sarcoma‐associated herpesvirus (KSHV) causes severe cancers without effective treatments. This study presents an atomic model of KSHV's critical infection protein, gB, revealing a unique structure shared with related herpesviruses like Epstein‐Barr virus (EBV). The structural similarity highlights vulnerable targets for antibodies, guiding the

A stochastic model for bacteriophage therapies [PDF]
In this article, we analyze a system modeling bacteriophage treatments for infections in a noisy context. In the small noise regime, we show that after a reasonable amount of time the system is close to a sane equilibrium (which is a relevant biologic information) with high probability.
