Partial austenitisation and TBF steel composed of ferrite, bainitic ferrite, and austenite
A TRIP-aided bainitic-ferritic (TBF) steel with a chemical composition of Fe–0.19C–1.7Mn–1.09Si–0.51Al–0.05Nb (wt-%) was partially austenitised from a hot-rolled martensitic initial microstructure. After the hot rolling, the martensitic specimens were reheated to different intercritical temperatures and then austempered at 350°C.

Improving Strength-Ductility via Short Austenitization in a Low-Carbon Carbide-Free Bainitic Steel
The strength and ductility of low-carbon carbide-free bainitic (CFB) automotive steel are not good enough. In this study, a short austenitization (SA) process in conjunction with isothermal bainitic transformation was adopted to refine the bainitic ...

The addition of high-content alloying elements and the unbefitting process make carbide-free bainite steel difficult in industrial production. Thus, we adopted a dynamic continuous cooling process for developing the high-strength cold-rolled low-alloy ...
