Tunable balanced bandpass filter with wide tuning range of center frequency and bandwidth using compact coupled-line resonator

open access: yes, 2016
A tunable balanced bandpass filter using a short coupled- line resonator is proposed. The design aims at achieving a wide tuning range in the differential-mode for both of the center frequency and bandwidth with high common-mode suppression. The proposed

Deterministic Fiber‐Optic Spectral Engineering Enables Three‐Color Multiplexed Two‐Photon Microscopy

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A simulation‐guided spectral‐engineering framework maps the nonlinear parameter space of a fiber laser platform to identify balanced three‐band excitation states. The resulting 960, 1080, and 1175 nm femtosecond pulses deliver nJ‐level energies for low‐cross‐talk chromatically multiplexed two‐photon microscopy.

Design of a triple band-pass balanced filter based on single-stepped-impedance ring resonator with ultra-wide stopband bandwidth

open access: yesETRI Journal
In this study, a new tri-band balanced band-pass filter (BPF) design based on a single-stepped-impedance ring resonator (SIRR) with four stepped stubs loaded on the feeding structure was proposed, analyzed, and design equations were derived.

Gait Alterations Due to DCC Gene Variants in Individuals with Congenital Mirror Movements

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Congenital Mirror Movement Syndrome (CMMS) involves involuntary movements on one side of the body while voluntary movements are performed on the other side. They disrupt left–right coordination and can be caused by a pathogenic variant in the DCC gene.

Orthostatic Myoclonus—Clinical and Electrophysiological Features in a Large Retrospective Cohort

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Orthostatic myoclonus is characterized by irregular, lower limb myoclonic bursts during stance and is a major cause of postural instability and falls. However, studies are limited, and little is known about its pathophysiology. Objectives We sought to define the clinical and electrophysiological features of orthostatic myoclonus in ...

Broadband balanced filter with high common-mode suppression and wide stopband based on SIW and SSPP

open access: yes
This paper introduces a novel balanced bandpass filter (BPF) that utilizes the symmetrical F-shaped groove (SFG) substrate-integrated waveguide and spoof surface plasmon polariton (SIW-SSPP) structure.

Inertial‐Based LQG Control: A New Look at Inverted‐Pendulum Stabilization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Linear‐quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control is a well‐established method for optimal control through state estimation, particularly in stabilizing an inverted pendulum on a cart. In standard laboratory setups, sensor redundancy enables direct measurement of configuration variables using displacement sensors and rotary encoders. However, in outdoor

Balanced switchable bandpass filter with differential‐mode reflectionless characteristics

open access: yesETRI Journal
Abstract This paper presents a balanced switchable bandpass filter (SBPF) with differential‐mode (DM) reflectionless characteristics in the on‐state. The proposed SBPF consists primarily of dual‐mode resonators loaded with p‐type–intrinsic–n‐type diodes, absorptive stubs, and common‐mode suppression (CMS) networks.
