Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Hyperspectral Band Selection for Lithologic Discrimination and Geological Mapping
Classification techniques applied to hyperspectral images are very useful for lithologic discrimination and geological mapping. Classifiers are often applied either to all spectral channels or only to absorption spectral channels.

Unsupervised hyperspectral band selection in the compressive sensing domain
Band selection (BS) algorithms are an effective means of reducing the high volume of redundant data produced by the hundreds of contiguous spectral bands of Hyperspectral images (HSI).

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

Due to significant interband correlation resulting from the use of hundreds of contiguous spectral bands, band selection (BS) is one of the most widely used methods to reduce data dimensionality for band redundancy removal.

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

Heterogeneous regularization-based tensor subspace clustering for hyperspectral band selection
Band selection (BS) reduces effectively the spectral dimension of a hyperspectral image (HSI) by selecting relatively few representative bands, which allows efficient processing in subsequent tasks.

Secrecy Outage Performance of SWIPT Cognitive Radio Network With Imperfect CSI
We consider a cognitive radio (CR) network with simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) system having one base station (BS) with multiple antennas that acts as a secondary transmitter, one desired information receiver (IR) acting as ...

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.
