We propose bandpass filters (BPFs) with mixed electromagnetic coupling paths (MEMCPs) that comprise two coupled vertical split‐ring resonators (VSRRs) and present the equivalent circuit models of the coupled VSRRs. We demonstrate that the dominant coupling modes for the top and bottom layers of the VSRRs are magnetic (M) and electric (E), respectively,

A Miniaturized Low‐Loss Switchable Single‐ and Dual‐Band Bandpass Filter
In this paper, a novel switchable bandpass filter is proposed. By switching p‐i‐n diodes on/off, the proposed filter can be switched between the single‐band bandpass filter and the dual‐band bandpass filter. The filter is mainly composed of eight pairs of series LC resonators, which generate passbands and transmission zeros. Considering the requirement

Tunable and reconfigurable bandstop filters enabled by optically controlled switching elements
Abstract The authors report a novel approach for designing tunable and reconfigurable bandstop filters by employing bias‐free optically‐controlled photoconductive radio frequency (RF) switching elements. To verify the effectiveness of the approach, a bandstop filter with two stopbands centred at 4.05 and 4.75 GHz was designed using a split‐ring‐coupled

This article presents the enhancement of Legendre Optimum LPF in terms of reusability and bandwidth, based on the programmable memristance of memristors. Results show a bandwidth enhancement of up to 540 at 600 kHz, and up to 100 at 110 MHz. A reusable, cost‐effective, variable bandwidth filter is achieved from the original fixed bandwidth filter ...

A highly selective tri‐band bandpass‐to‐bandstop filter with the third band independently tunable
In this article, a tri‐band BP‐to‐BS filter with the third band tunable and the other ones fixed using the crossed resonator is proposed, analyzed and demonstrated. Combined with the proposed coupling structure, the M and Qe can be met to form the tri‐band. The PIN diode is applied as a switch to alter BP‐to‐BS characteristic. Loading varactor diode at

Bandstop filters play an essential role in many radio frequency (RF) and microwave communication systems to block undesired signals or reject spurious harmonics. This paper presents the design and experiment of a compact quadband bandstop filter centered at 1.2/1.97/2.96/4.78 GHz with a passband insertion loss ranging from 1.07 to 2.9 dB.

Equiripple design of low‐pass filter using stub‐loaded Z‐shaped coupled‐line section
Abstract Design procedure of a novel transmission line low‐pass filter is presented. The filter has a flexible rejection response for a prescribed cut‐off frequency and an in‐band ripple factor. It is compact by using a Z‐shaped coupled‐line section, which is loaded with open‐circuited stubs.

High-order input-reflectionless quasi-elliptic-type wideband bandpass filter using dual-mode slotline resonator [PDF]
2022 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC), 29 November to 02 December 2022, Yokohama, Japan.A high-order input-reflectionless quasi-elliptic-type wideband bandpass filter (BPF) that exploits a complementary-diplexer-based topology is reported ...

Abstract Analysis and design of a wideband bandstop filter with multi‐transmission zeros (TZs) and reflection zeros (RZs) are presented. The proposed topology consists of N‐1 shunt open‐circuited stubs (OCSs) cascaded through N‐sections of transmission lines, and two M‐sections of OCSs are shunted at two output ports, respectively.
