Bandwidth allocation in peer-to-peer file sharing networks [PDF]
We present a model of bandwidth allocation in a stylized peer-to-peer file sharing network with s peers (sharers) who share files and download from each other and f peers (freeriders) who download from sharers but do not contribute files.

The potential gains of NOMA were evaluated in a satellite system with heterogeneous receivers, after considering the use of specific DVB‐S2X MODCODs, along with the impact of non‐linearities. It was concluded that a judicious power allocation in NOMA, jointly optimized with the IBO of the PAs, can yield significant sum‐rate gains.

Downlink Energy Efficiency of Power Allocation and Wireless Backhaul Bandwidth Allocation in Heterogeneous Small Cell Networks [PDF]
The widespread application of wireless services and dense devices access has triggered huge energy consumption. Because of the environmental and financial considerations, energy-efficient design in wireless networks has become an inevitable trend. To the

The performance limitation in multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) feeder links due to time and phase misalignment of the ground stations is investigated. Time and phase distribution over optical fiber is considered as an approach to achieve the synchronization requirements.

Online bandwidth auctions for efficient allocation of bandwidth
This paper describes an on-line auction process for dynamic bandwidth allocation in communication networks. The auction is intended to be repeated at short (perhaps ten minute) intervals. The outcome of the auction gives both the bandwidth allocation, and the price to be paid for it.

Adaptive bandwidth allocation algorithm based on the multi-threshold reservation mechanism
An adaptive bandwidth allocation algorithm based on multi-threshold reservation mechanism is proposed to guarantee the quality of service (QoS) of multi-services in heterogeneous wireless networks. With the bandwidth reserva-tion mechanism by setting ...

Quality‐of‐service‐aware fair bandwidth allocation scheme for fibre wireless networks
Fibre wireless (FiWi) access networks constitute a promising candidate to meet the demanding challenges of the modern bandwidth‐hungry services and applications. Due to the dynamic nature of the network traffic in access domains, the bandwidth allocation
