A Cost Analysis for Establishing a Barbados Cherry (Malpighia Punicifolia) Orchard in Barbados
1984An analysis was performed to provide orchard establishment costs (land preparation, trees, planting, irrigation, herbicide and fertilizer) for a 3.5 acre planting. Figures are provided for trees only; trees with a simple drip irrigation system; and trees with an automated micro-sprinkler system. Local labour and local equipment costs are used.

Paclobutrazol increases fruiting in container grown Pummelo and Barbados cherry
1987Five concentrations of paclobutrazol ('Cultar') were applied as a soil drench to container grown pummelo (Citrus grandis), grafted on either sour orange (Citrus aurantium) or alemow (Citrus macrophylla), and Barbados cherry (Halpighia glabra). The citrus received between 0.03 and 0.5 g and the cherry between 0.005 and 0.5 g a.i.
