Patterns of Population Genomic Variation and Evolutionary History of European Hake in the Northeastern Atlantic

We use for the first time whole‐genome sequencing to explore current and historical patterns of genetic diversity in European hake in the Northeastern Atlantic, focusing on the recently expanded distribution range in the North Sea. The distribution of suspended matter in the sea obeys the laws of circumcontinental (for surface distribution) and vertical zonality.
