Some organo-compounds of calcium, strontium and barium
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1971Abstract Bis(2-phenylethynyl)calcium, Ca(CCPh) 2 , and the corresponding strontium and barium compounds have been isolated as thermally stable solids. Some of their properties and reactions are described.

Microsyntactic intergrowth and defects in barium ferrite compounds
Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1978Abstract The structural characteristics and defects of barium ferrite compounds in the composition range along the line which connects the composition of the M compound (BaFe12O19) and that of the W compound (BaFe18O27) were investigated by transmission electron microscopy.

Exposure to soluble barium compounds: an interventional study in arc welders
International Archives of Occupational and Environmental Health, 1992Soluble barium (Ba) compounds are well-known toxicants. Intoxications are mainly known in an acute form from casual or suicidal oral ingestion. No scientifically based data are available on possible health effects of inhalative exposure to soluble Ba salts at the workplace.

Separation of Strontium and Barium from Calcium Compounds
Separation Science and Technology, 1982Abstract Results are presented of an investigation with radioactive isotopes 85Sr and 133Ba of processes of strontium and barium coprecipitation with calcium hydroxide and calcium oxalate for the preparation of calcium carbonate with a very low content (less than 1 ppm) of strontium and barium.

Thermochemical Decomposition of Water Based on Reactions of Chromium and Barium Compounds
Science, 1975A potentially useful thermochemical cycle developed for the production of hydrogen and oxygen from water consists of three chemical reactions that take place in the temperature range from 400° to 1200° K. The oxidation and reduction of chromium compounds by barium hydroxide and the hydrolytic disproportionation of barium chromate(IV) and barium ...
