Spatial Analysis of Barrier-free Environment Using Geographical Information System
GIS analysis applied to understand barrier-free environment at a regional scale. Significant regional inequalities in wheel-chair accessibilities and lack of linkage among the barrier infrastructures were identified through our analysis. Especially small-sized dairy facilities have tend to exclude from easy access areas.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Evolving Concepts of Reflux: The Ups and Downs of the LES
The common denominator for virtually all episodes of gastroesophageal reflux in health and disease is the loss of the barrier that confines the gastric environment to the stomach.

Inhibitory effect of La3+ on hydrogen damage of 27CrMo44S/1 steel in H2S-containing acidic solution
The effect of La3+ on the hydrogen permeation behavior of 27CrMo44S/1 steel in acidic environments containing H2S is investigated through the measurement of steady-state permeation current density (i∞), hydrogen diffusivity (D), and subsurface hydrogen ...

Scaling analysis and instantons for thermally-assisted tunneling and Quantum Monte Carlo simulations
We develop an instantonic calculus to derive an analytical expression for the thermally-assisted tunneling decay rate of a metastable state in a fully connected quantum spin model. The tunneling decay problem can be mapped onto the Kramers escape problem

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Study of Indicators of the Barrier-Free Environment of Museums in Irkutsk
The article reflects the mission of museums and the shift of classical museum values to realities of modern life. The study examined different typologies of museum visitors and specifics of their perception. Particular attention is paid to persons with disabilities. Museums have always declared themselves as an accessible environment, able to bring all

Time of arrival through interacting environments: Tunneling processes
We discuss the propagation of wave packets through interacting environments. Such environments generally modify the dispersion relation or shape of the wave function.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.
