Natural products target the aging kidney in diabetic nephropathy by restoring the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 axis, reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and cellular senescence while enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis and antioxidant defenses.

Tectonic denudation and topographic development in the Spanish Sierra Nevada [PDF]
The denudation history of the rapidly uplifting western part of the Spanish Sierra Nevada was assessed using apatite fission track (AFT) ages and 10Be analyses of bedrock and fluvial sediments.

Lessons Learned From a Delayed‐Start Trial of Modafinil for Freezing of Gait in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Freezing of gait (FOG) in people with Parkinson's disease (PwPD) is debilitating and has limited treatments. Modafinil modulates beta/gamma band activity in the pedunculopontine nucleus (PPN), like PPN deep brain stimulation. We therefore tested the hypothesis that Modafinil would improve FOG in PwPD.

Dynamics of gully side erosion: a case study using tree roots exposure data
Erosion is a frequently studied natural process. Unfortunately, detailed analysis mostly requires longterm field monitoring or detailed digital elevation models (DEM) which are still absent for many areas.

Base-Level of Eolian Erosion [PDF]
The recognition of a land-level coinciding very nearly with that of the surface of the sea, but below which stream-corrasion cannot go, is a concept which has had such a potent influence in molding opinion concerning land-sculpturing and its evolution that any exception or modification is yet to receive general approval.

Remote Monitoring in Myasthenia Gravis: Exploring Symptom Variability
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare, autoimmune disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness and potential life‐threatening crises. While continuous specialized care is essential, access barriers often delay timely interventions. To address this, we developed MyaLink, a telemedical platform for MG patients.

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...
