Shear-flow transition: the basin boundary
The structure of the basin of attraction of a stable equilibrium point is investigated for a dynamical system (W97) often used to model transition to turbulence in shear flows.

The saddle-straddle method to test for Wada basins
First conceived as a topological construction, Wada basins abound in dynamical systems. Basins of attraction showing the Wada property possess the particular feature that any small perturbation of an initial condition lying on the boundary can lead the ...

Scaling solutions in quintessential inflation
In quintessence scalar field theories, the presence of scaling solutions are important during the radiation and matter epoch due to having their attractor character.

A New Three-Step Root-Finding Numerical Method and Its Fractal Global Behavior
There is an increasing demand for numerical methods to obtain accurate approximate solutions for nonlinear models based upon polynomials and transcendental equations under both single and multivariate variables. Keeping in mind the high demand within the

Geometric Properties of Isostables and Basins of Attraction of Monotone Systems [PDF]
In this paper, we study geometric properties of basins of attraction of monotone systems. Our results are based on a combination of monotone systems theory and spectral operator theory.

Modelling the basin of attraction as a two-dimensional manifold from experimental data: applications to balance in humans [PDF]
We present a method of modeling the basin of attraction as a three-dimensional function describing a two-dimensional manifold on which the dynamics of the system evolves from experimental time series data.

s‐Orbital Mediated Metavalent Bonding Enables State‐Of‐The‐Art n‐Type AgBiSe2 Thermoelectrics
Metavalent bonding (MVB) underpins the exceptional property portfolio of chalcogenides. Typical MVB solids are mainly found in p‐bonded systems. This work reveals that MVB can also be formed with s‐p orbital interactions upon forming a single‐electron σ‐bond, as exemplified in AgBiSe2.

The Dynamics of a Continuous Newton-like Method
The objective of the current work is to invent and introduce the continuous version of Newton’s method. This scheme is used to establish some interesting properties with examples.

Intermingled basins in coupled Lorenz systems
We consider a system of two identical linearly coupled Lorenz oscillators, presenting synchro- nization of chaotic motion for a specified range of the coupling strength. We verify the existence of global synchronization and antisynchronization attractors

A Comprehensive Review of Waste‐Derived Materials for Solar Still Performance Enhancement
ABSTRACT Solar desalination reduces energy use and produces freshwater sustainably, but its productivity is limited and cannot meet rising demand. Thus, solar desalination system improvements are sought to boost water productivity. Waste materials are abundantly available and burden the environment, making them low‐cost enhancers for solar desalination
