Protein Requirements of Smallmouth Bass and Largemouth Bass
Journal of Nutrition, 1981Protein requirements of young smallmouth and largemouth bass reared near ideal water temperatures were estimated as an initial step in quantifying specific nutrients essential to these fishes. Test fish were conditioned to accept pelleted rations, reared in small circular tanks and fed all they would easily consume at each feeding.

Abstract Hybridization is common among many closely related fishes, such as the largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides and spotted bass M. punctulatus. Although these species are common members of the sport fish community in midwestern and southeastern U.S.

Abstract Striped bass Morone saxatilis, white bass M. chrysops, and striped bass ♀ × white bass ♂ hybrids have been widely introduced into streams and reservoirs throughout the southeastern USA. Because these taxa often cooccur but are managed differently, distinguishing among them is necessary. Although single morphometric and meristic characters were

A criterion is given for orders over Dedekind rings to be hereditary. It is proved that every finitely generated torsionfree module over a Bass order, i.e., an order of which every superring has injective dimension one, splits into a direct sum of ideals. A local description of Bass orders is presented.
