Product form in networks of queues with batch arrivals and batch services
Queueing Systems, 1990The paper extends the product form concept to networks of queues with batch arrivals and batch services with routing between queues dependent upon the batches released. The results are valid for continuous time as well as discrete time and for open, closed and mixed queueing networks.

Multiserver queue with semi-Markovian batch arrivals
Computer Communications, 2004We consider a queueing system consisting of multiple identical servers and a common queue. The service time follows an exponential distribution and the batch arrival process is governed by a semi-Markov process (SMP). Our analysis is based on the theory of piecewise Markov process.

A queueing system with batch arrival of customers in sessions
Computers & Industrial Engineering, 2012This paper describes and analyzes a single-server queueing model with a finite buffer and session arrivals. Generation of the sessions is described by the Markov Arrival Process (MAP). Arrival of the groups of the requests within any admitted session is described by the Terminating Batch Markov Arrival Process (TBMAP).

On the blocking probability in batch Markovian arrival queues
Microprocessors and Microsystems, 2008In this paper we investigate the blocking probability in a finite-buffer queue whose arrival process is given by the batch Markovian arrival process (BMAP). BMAP generalizes a wide set of Markovian processes and is especially useful as a precise model of aggregated IP traffic.

Batch poissonian arrival models of multiservice network traffic

This paper is devoted to the analysis of a particular case of a batch Markovian flow, namely, batch (nonordinary) Poissonian arrivals.

In this paper, we model a general two-period alternating system by a batch arrival queue with exponential working vacations.
