Active Learning‐Accelerated Discovery of Fibrous Hydrogels with Tissue‐Mimetic Viscoelasticity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Active learning accelerates the design of fibrous hydrogels that mimic the viscoelasticity of native tissues. By integrating multi‐objective optimization and closed‐loop experimentation, this approach efficiently identifies optimal formulations from thousands of possibilities and decouples elasticity and viscosity. The resulting hydrogels offer tunable

Application of different feeding strategies in fed batch culture for pullulanase production using sago starch [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The production of pullulanase by Bacillus flavothermus KWF-1 in batch and fed batch culture were compared using 2 L bioreactor. In batch culture, 0.0803 U/mL of pullulanase activity with specific activity of 0.0213 U/mg was produced by controlling the ...

Modeling nonlinear stochastic kinetic system and stochastic optimal control of microbial bioconversion process in batch culture

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2013
In this paper, we analyze a stochastic model representing batch fermentation in the process of glycerol bio-dissimilation to 1,3-propanediol by klebsiella pneumoniae.

MXene Wrapped Magnetic Mesocrystals for Durable Redox Catalytic Cancer Therapy and Responsive MRI

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Conformal wrapping of ultrathin Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets on Fe3O4 mesocrystals creates topology‐stabilized Schottky junctions that direct photoinduced electron transfer under NIR irradiation. The unique architecture sustains Fenton catalysis, promotes continuous hydroxyl radical production, and provides photo‐responsive MRI contrast.

Simultaneous saccharification and fermentation of sweet sorghum carbohydrates to ethanol in a fed-batch process

open access: yes, 1994
The simultaneous saccharification and fermentation (SSF) of sweet sorghum carbohydrates to ethanol by Fusarium oxysporum F3 alone or in mixed culture with Saccharomyces cerevisiae 2541 or Zymomonas mobilis CP4 in a fed-batch fermentation process was ...

Enhanced reutilization value of shrimp-shell waste via fed-batch biodegradation with higher production of reducing sugar, antioxidant, and DNA protective compounds

open access: yesFisheries and Aquatic Sciences, 2018
As a process for commercial application, production of reducing sugar, antioxidant, and DNA protective compounds from shrimp-shell powder was investigated in a fed-batch biodegradation using Bacillus cereus EW5.

Multifunctional Gold Nanocluster‐Based PROTAC System for Targeted Degradation of Phosphorylated Tau and Modulation of Neuroinflammation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a novel proteolysis‐targeting chimera (PROTAC) system conjugated to lipoic acid gold nanoclusters (PLANC), designed to degrade pTau, regulate inflammatory signaling, and effectively traverse the blood‐brain barrier (BBB). PLANC degraded pTau at various phosphorylation sites, with mechanistic studies confirming proteasome‐mediated degradation

In vitro effects of saponins, tannins and lipids on rumen fermentation and intestinal health markers in a ruminant weaning context

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science
Dairy ruminants often experience physiological disturbances during the post-weaning, including suboptimal rumen fermentation due to an underdeveloped rumen microbiota, and diarrhoea associated with intestinal inflammation and oxidative stress. This study
