Codes Identifying Bad Signatures in Batches

open access: yes, 2000
The work is concerned with identification of bad signatures in a sequence which is validated using batching. Identification codes (idcodes) are defined and their general properties are investigated. The generic construction for a wide range of id-codes is given and its instantiation using mutually orthogonal Latin squares is described.

Multidimensional Profiling of MRI‐Negative Temporal Lobe Epilepsy Uncovers Distinct Phenotypes

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Although hippocampal sclerosis (TLE‐HS) represents the most frequent cause of temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), up to 30% of patients show no lesion on visual MRI inspection (TLE‐MRIneg). These cases pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges and are underrepresented in surgical series.

Innate Immune Reprogramming Mediated by Endogenous Retroelement Dysregulation Drives Multiple Sclerosis Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
Epigenetic reprogramming in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) and downstream myeloid cells, mediated by H3.3 downregulation and endogenous retroelement (ERE) overexpression, contributes to the progression of multiple sclerosis (MS). ABSTRACT Background Skewed myelopoiesis in the bone marrow has been identified as a key driver of multiple ...

A linkable signature scheme supporting batch verification for privacy protection in crowd-sensing

open access: yesDigital Communications and Networks
The maturity of 5G technology has enabled crowd-sensing services to collect multimedia data over wireless network, so it has promoted the applications of crowd-sensing services in different fields, but also brings more privacy security challenges, the ...

A Fully Convolutional Network for Semantic Labeling of 3D Point Clouds

open access: yes, 2017
When classifying point clouds, a large amount of time is devoted to the process of engineering a reliable set of features which are then passed to a classifier of choice.

RNA Sequencing Resolves Cryptic Pathogenic Variants in Mitochondrial Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Mitochondrial diseases are the most common inherited metabolic disorders, characterized by pronounced clinical and genetic heterogeneity that complicates molecular diagnosis. Although DNA‐based sequencing approaches have become standard in genetic testing, up to half of patients remain without a definitive diagnosis.

Implications of fisheries during the spawning season for the sustainable management and recovery of depleted fish stocks: life history characteristics of several North Sea species [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Fish traders and NGOs have put the idea forward that in order to not disturb the spawning process and hence improve the reproductive success of a fish population one should stop fishing during the spawning period.

A Systematic Comparison of Alpha‐Synuclein Seed Amplification Assays for Increasing Reproducibility

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Seed amplification assays (SAAs) enable ultrasensitive detection of misfolded α‐synuclein across biofluids and tissues. Yet, heterogeneity in protocols limits cross‐study comparability and clinical translation. Here, we review α‐synuclein SAA methods and their performance across various biological matrices.

Cryptanalysis of the batch verifying multiple RSA digital signatures

open access: yesInformatica, 2000
Summary: Recently, \textit{L. Harn} [Batch verifying multiple RSA digital signatures. Electronics Letters, 32, No. 12, 1219-1220 (1998)] proposed an efficient scheme that can batch verification multiple RSA digital signatures. His scheme can reduce signature verification time. However, there is a weakness in his scheme.

Dimethyl Fumarate, But Not Rituximab, Reduces Serum GFAP Levels and PIRMA in Relapsing–Remitting MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Serum neurofilament light chain (sNfL) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (sGFAP) levels are believed to reflect mainly acute and chronic disease processes in multiple sclerosis (MS), respectively. In this study, we investigated whether dimethyl fumarate (DMF) and rituximab (RTX) differentially affect these biomarkers.
